Viber Analyzer Review by Mihaela Teodorovici

Explore your entire Viber database files (including messages, chats and contacts) and export all the data to Excel for further use with this simple tool

There are multiple instant messaging applications out there, each with its own style and features, so choosing one becomes a matter of preference. Viber is one of the popular names in this category, providing a secure chat tool for both mobile and desktop platforms.

All the data generated by Viber is stored in the AppData folder for each of the phone numbers that log in to their account. The Viber database files store information about the chats, the list of contacts and the messages in the chat box. While all this information is right there when you open Viber either on the phone or the desktop application, creating a backup is never a bad idea. Having that in mind, Viber Analyzer provides a simple utility that can explore the contents of the Viber databases and help you export them to Excel for later use.

Simple looks, simple options, simple functionality

If it were to choose a word to characterize this application, that would be “simplicity”. Starting with the GUI and ending with the usage and options, Viber Analyzer provides a basic software tool. In fact, the interface is quite outdated, with a look that clearly focuses on functionality rather than delivering a pleasant design.

Should Viber be installed on the system, Viber Analyzer captures its default database for the registered phone number. All the messages are displayed in a simple table, with their date and time, the contact's name and the cell phone number, the chat name and ID.

You can also browse the chats and notes in your Viber app, as well as your list of contacts with their given name and phone number. Right-clicking on any of the shown contacts, chats or messages allows you to export the data to Excel and save it to file for later use.

Export Viber data to Excel with ease

While it lacks a pleasantly looking and organized interface, Viber Analyzer does provide a quick and easy method to explore the list of contacts, data and messages in your Viber account. Moreover, it allows you to export the entire data to file and save it in an Excel spreadsheet for later reference.
